DeVoe Mansion Bed & Breakfast

The former home to Emma Smith DeVoe, Washington State's only National Women's Hall of Fame member, this grand 1911 Colonial Mansion is listed on the National Historic Register. Located on 1.5 acres of beautiful grounds, the Mansion is just minutes from all that Tacoma and the Seattle area have to offer. The DeVoe Mansion began as a humble 1800's farm house. In 1910 Henry and Emma DeVoe bought the country home and five acres of land and began the work of enlarging and creating the wonderful 5,600 square-foot mansion it is today. They named their dream home Villa DeVoe. Vital to their dream was a home spacious enough to entertain large groups of people. Emma, an influential speaker and organizer of the women's suffrage movement, needed a home spacious enough to accommodate the popular "parlor meetings" of her day. In 1993 the home was added to the National Register of Historic places as a tribute to Emma and her work for the women's suffrage cause, on both a state and national level. Dave & Cheryl strive to provide each and every guest with old-fashioned hospitality and the best of today's amenities and comforts. They invite you to kick back, relax, and enjoy every minute of your stay. Make yourself at home in the common areas, play a tune on the 1860's rosewood square grand piano, or join other guests in lively conversation and board games. Perhaps you'd prefer a quiet evening with a good book by the fire — the choice is all yours. After a good night's sleep you'll awake refreshed to steaming gourmet coffee just outside your door and an incredible full breakfast served in the formal dining room.

Relax in one of several indoor common areas including the formal entryway with sitting area and the large living room with marble fireplace and grand piano. The spacious dining room offers a complimentary 24-hour hot drinks bar stocked with delicious homemade cookies and fresh fruit. A guest refrigerator is available with complimentary cold sodas.
