Christopher Place is a romantic retreat on 200 wooded acres at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We cater to busy couples who need a break from everything but each other. If your idea of roughing it is not having a wake up call in the morning, Christopher Place is for you.

The tranquility of the Smoky Mountains surrounds you at Christopher Place, quietly offering breathtaking views and serene silence. Away from your hurried routines, you relax, rediscover, and rekindle.

Sunset at Christopher Place

Start your day with a spectacular mountain sunrise and a full breakfast served when you choose. Play tennis, swim in the heated pool. Use the sauna, exercise room, or game room. The truly adventurous hike to the top of our private ridge for a picnic. How about a trek with the English Mountain Llamas? Days can be filled with activities, or with none at all.

Library The evening is a quiet time at Christopher Place. A four-course dinner is served each night by candlelight in our mountain view dining room. Romantic melodies from the grand piano drift through the parlor as the sun sets and the mountains return to slumber. Relax by the fire with the latest bestseller from our library. Curl up on the couch and watch a movie. Shut out the world in your private room or suite, which could include a whirlpool, fireplace, or panoramic mountain view. The silence of the Smoky Mountains is broken only by the splash of champagne..
