Guests often want to know the story of "Kevin & Belma". Our lives crossed paths several times throughout our high school and college years; yet, a romantic encounter never came close to taking place. We knew each other through our church where we both attended as teenagers and young adults. However, the differences in our ages, six to be exact, seemed rather a large gap at the time and kept us from even noticing each other. After several years, our paths crossed once again on a hot summers day in August of 1993. We spent the day outside playing our favorite game of volleyball (on opposing teams of course). This day was different from all the others. It was the start of a very special relationship which would evolve into a beautiful bond between two people.

We married one another on June 15, 1996 and while Kevin spread his wings by opening up his own accounting firm, I went back to school for Dental Hygiene. Two years later, we found ourselves placing a bid on this beautiful old home. After six months of renovations, "our baby" opened for it's first season. We spent the next few years nurturing the inn through it's early years of inn-fancy. We have had the pleasure of watching the inn grow and flourish. We all know that you can't experience growing without "growing pains". We are happy to say that it's all ancient history now.

We have found the world of running an inn so much more rewarding than what we had ever expected. So much so that Kevin has given up his full-time accounting practice and I, the world of dentistry. Who knows, maybe one of these days, we'll run a special with a dental check up included! Until then, don't forget to floss and get your taxes done on time!
