Introduction
Lonely Planet 2004 - "The attic suite is a priceless garret where the next Great American Novel could easily be written."
Frommers’s Alaska 2004 - "This scrupulously restored 1906 mansion offers constant surprises in its fascinating detail, rooms are sumptuously and comfortably outfitted, the price range defies categorization."
Your stay with us will be a true bed and breakfast experience. The aroma of fresh roasted coffee announces breakfast, a multi-course affair, served in the formal dining room amidst rays of the morning sun. The menu may include sautéed apples in a hot cinnamon sauce or fresh local raspberries and cream. From the bedside diaries, guests' favorite entrées are the dungeness crab Eggs Benedict on home baked rolls, or the lemon soufflé hotcakes and thick cut smoked ham. Linger and enjoy coffee and conversation in an unrushed atmosphere, sharing plans or recounting the previous day's adventures.
Modern conveniences merge with the nostalgic ambiance. Relax in our outdoor hot tub or check you email on our high speed cable modem. Every room has a TV/VCR and phone.

History
In 1906, gold rush pioneer John Olds built one of the grandest homes in all of Juneau, high on the hillside, overlooking the bustling waterfront. Painstakingly restored to its original grandeur, today's Alaska's Capital Inn blends turn-of-the-century elegance with contemporary comfort.
Hosts
The Inn is also home to your hosts, Linda & Mark. Having lived, fished and paddled around in Southeast Alaska for more than half their lives, they are an excellent resource and are happy to share their local knowledge.
